October 19 2007
For Immediate Release
New Bern, NC - October 19, 2007 - Soleil Group, Inc., a premier development group that manages and develops properties across the southeastern United States, is pleased to announce three projects in downtown New Bern.
SkySail Condominiums is scheduled to welcome new residents in summer of 2008. The condominiums offer waterfront and historic downtown New Bern views. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, Roman tubs, large walk-in closets and state-of-the-art kitchens with Bosch® appliances are just a few of the finishing touches. Amenities include a pool with a spa that overlooks the confluence of the Trent and Neuse Rivers, in-residence dining and valet services.
Secondly, adjacent to the condominiums, the New Bern Sheraton Grand Hotel is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. The changes will include a new lobby, additional meeting space and a ballroom, as well as a renovated bar and signature waterfront restaurant. The guestrooms are being updated to feature new furniture, accessories, carpet and lighting, and will each have a mini-bar, microwave and a flat screen TV. Beautiful duvets and window coverings, along with the tile entryways and baths are part of the new luxurious touches.
The crown jewel of New Bern's waterfront, the New Bern Grand Marina, is also being refurbished. This protected riverfront location offers a deepwater marina with 25 to 100+ foot boat slips. The floating dock system will have rich golden-stained wood decking, new hardware, dock boxes and utility pylons with 30, 50 and 100 amp electricity, Wi-Fi, water, cable and phone connections. Remodeled restrooms and showers are included in the plans. The renovations will bring a fresh nautical perspective with safety precautions in mind for boating enthusiasts wanting to own one of these desirable boat slips.
Soleil Group partners and developers of these three properties, Sanjay Mundra and Dicky Walia, are excited about having the opportunity to be a part of the renovation efforts happening in downtown New Bern.
"These properties are just a short walk from the numerous antique shops, as well as casual and fine dining options, giving neighbors and visitors the chance to explore the charm of historic downtown New Bern," said Sanjay Mundra.
"We are personally committed to revitalizing and investing in this community," added Walia. "With our investment in excess of $60 million, the Soleil Group will help enhance the growing activity in the Town of New Bern and its distinctive waterfront surroundings."
